But who are you, really?
Great question. I’m Daja (DJ) Terry, a queer creative and writer who happens to also be a realtor based in Contra Costa County. I serve communities across the East Bay, with my specialties in Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and Martinez. I’m poud to be a part of Keller Williams Realty East Bay and, along with that, the KW Rainbow Network.
I originally hail from Durham, NC (Bull City!) and moved to Concord, CA in 2019 after graduating from UNC Wilmington to start a new adventure that has taken plenty of turns. In addition to my creative endeavors, I’ve also worked in affordable housing for the last six years, particularly in assisting Section 8 participants with finding employment, building credit, and saving for homeownership. I’ve seen several clients through the process of purchasing their first homes in that capacity, and it’s sparked an unending amount of joy.
But why should I choose you?
I believe that fair and equal access to homeownership is a universal right, much like the KW Rainbow Network. I am a fierce advocate not just for affordable housing but also for civil rights, especially for my LGBTQ+ community.
No one should feel like they can’t own their own home in an area they have fallen in love with. I hope to be both a guide and a partner in your homebuying journey. If you’re not ready to buy right now, that’s perfectly okay! I’m willing to work with you for as long as it takes to get you ready and then to get you in the home of your dreams.

I’m also a go-getter. I work hard, stay persistent, and don’t give up when things get tricky. Whether it’s finding the right home, getting your offer accepted, or pushing a deal across the finish line, I’m in it with you the whole way—and I’ll do what it takes to make it happen.

At a consultation, we’ll sit down to talk about you. This isn’t just about the house you want to buy. What are your life goals over the next 2 to 5 years? Where do you see yourself, and do you think you can make it a reality with a little push?
Then, we’ll get to work, whether that’s making a plan to pay down debt, get your credit right, save, or narrow down where you want to buy.
